Then he founded his second business, Support.com, in August 1997. As the CEO and Chairman of the Board, Pincus built the company to become a top provider of assistance desk automation software. The company was listed on the stock exchange in July 2000 with the $1.5 billion value. In 2002 SupportSoft changed their name to Support.com and changed its name to SupportSoft, Inc.
In 2003, at age 37, Pincus founded his third startup, Tribe.net, an early social network.
